Mm. There is nothing detrimentally wrong. To ease your concerns, both I and Hugo are fine. [Well, outside of Earth eepy beepy from the bat.]
It is Zevran who I am calling you about. I have been trying to arrange to bring him food, but he seems adamantly against me wanting to visit him in the hospital for one reason or another.
It gets to the point where I feel I may be spiking his blood pressure, and I'm sure if I just showed up it would get the same reaction.
[He'll cut to the chase.]
If I were to make you both some food, would you take it to him and eat with him? I know he would do it if you asked it of him.
[ at least they're okay, but Zevran on the other hand... ]
Naturally I'd be happy to bring him any food made by your talented hands, Lycaon. But I have a feeling he's resistant to you visiting because then you'd see him at his lowest.
He hadn't been sleeping so I sent Frumpkin to stay with him until he's released, to help keep him grounded. He'd been worried none of this was real, that he was still stuck in that lab underneath the Tower. That if he went to sleep he'd wake up and his rescue was nothing but a fading dream. He might be resistant but... I think it'd help if you went to see him.
You're surprisingly grounding in times of strife, you know? An immoveable rock when the violent waves are trying to tear you apart.
Is that what this is... He certainly is the proud sort, isn't he.
[Not that Lycaon is one to talk, but he'd learned quite quickly that he has to accept help when it's provided. He wouldn't have made it a week in the States if not.]
I'd worried that the more insistent I became, it would affect his health. But it seems like he really would benefit from an in-person visit. Thank you for the reassurance.
..That being said, you are also a victim of all this. So I'll of course drop some off to you as well. Maybe it will entice him to eat knowing that you are eating the same thing he is.
...
I'm proud that you think of me in that way, Mollymauk. This rock will never succumb to those waves. You are taking good care of yourself, yes? Is Caleb recovering alright?
[ there is an undeniable fondness to his voice as he speaks. ]
I'm less a victim in all this than Zev and Caleb. While I'm always happy to receive your care it's better directed to those more affected then me. But! I'll still take food.
[ honestly both he and Caleb could do with some well cooked meals. Molly, for his part, hasn't been feeling up to much more than take-out. ]
Oh, yes I'm fine. Caleb will be fine. He's recovered from worse.
Ah. In that case let me retract what I just said, space might be for the best at the moment. I can drop it off to him if you'd prefer.
[ and maybe give him a few choice words as well. it isn't his first rodeo with someone painfully prideful. ]
That'd be lovely. I'm still staying at Caleb's although I'm sure he's sick of me by now, give me a minute and I'll send you the address.
[ Molly exhales, the jingle of his horn decorations the only indication that he is glancing about the room for the wizard in question. ]
Honestly? He's doing alright. There's a story there that isn't mine to tell, but there was much needed catharsis. You don't have to worry about him, I promise.
If you...would. I'm sure he will come around. I would just rather wait for him to come to me. I am rather large and intimidating in appearance, which does not help things.
[Lycaon does document that address for safekeeping. At the very least as a 'Molly will sometimes be here' place]
That is good. Even when the death of someone vile happens, it doesn't come without its weight to those who ended it.

[He sighs.]
I'll drop off some food for you and Caleb, if he's there with you. You both could stand for something homecooked.
I know Caleb was there to see Hojo's final moments... How is he mentally?
[No matter how much you try to justify murder, no matter how deserved it feels, once the high comes down...it must feel quite empty.]

I suppose I was worried for nothing.
